News reporting has become so politicized that it’s difficult to discover the truth on a given issue such as COVID, race and policing, election fraud, immigration, and countless other issues.
Turn to CNN and you’ll get the left-wing viewpoint. Turn to Fox and you’ll get the opposite. Even what stories are covered—and aren’t covered—is based on political calculations. Then there’s the Big Tech companies regulating content they disagree with as part of controlling “misinformation”. Many people, including Christians, just don’t know what to believe anymore.
So how does one know what the truth is on a given issue? A Christian’s worldview should be based on Scripture, but how to apply that to contemporary events of our day? How to know who can be trusted in this polarized climate?
The apostle Peter wrote, “His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3).
To discern truth from error on current events, requires rock solid anchoring to three pillars from which we can understand the world around us. Tune in this weekend to find out what those pillars are.
