And He [Jesus] spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow… Matthew 13:3
“I was just under the weight of my sin and I was being convicted that I was running from God, and I knew I needed to make things right, so I came to Christ. I came out of darkness into the light.”
Most people wouldn’t think this quote would be attributed to rapper Kanye West, one of the best-selling musicians of all time, especially considering West’s sinful words and deeds in the past and his high-profile marriage to reality star Kim Kardashian.
But his professed conversion to faith in Christ and his traveling “Sunday Services” have been making as much news recently at his just-released album, Jesus is King, which debuted at No. 1 on the charts.
Many are responding to his claims of faith with skepticism. Others with confirmation and gladness. What are we to make of this high-profile celebrity’s profession? This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will discuss the reported conversion of Kanye West, discussing the various responses to the gospel in Jesus’ parable of the soils in Matthew 13.
