And He
Love turning to loss is a nearly universal human experience in our fallen world. We encounter these trying stories everyday: the death of a family member or close friend, the dissolving of a marriage or relationship, the loss of a job or a home to disaster or foreclosure, or perhaps the end of a long-awaited dream.
To varying degrees, all of these losses cause pain and grief. They destabilize and consume us. They make life seem bitter and God far away.
If love turning to loss is a universal human experience, then God’s grace is the most universal human need. But what is grace? The word is spoken frequently, but how does God dispense grace and how do we receive it?
This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will be discussing two elements of God’s grace—His saving grace and sustaining grace. This grace is the culminating message my new book, My Boy, Ben—A Story of Love, Loss and Grace.
While the circumstances of your own story of love and loss may be different, it is God’s grace that we all so desperately need.
NOTE: Thank you to all of you who made the launch of My Boy, Ben such a blessing! We were touched by how many listeners attended the launch event and by how many books were ordered this first week. As a thank you, we are offering listeners to The Christian Worldview $2 on all orders of My Boy, Ben through the end of the year when you enter “DAVID” in the coupon code field. Thank you!
