There is a movement gaining steam within once-trusted evangelical organizations where issues of race, gender, and sexuality are put forth as gospel issues. Those pushing these claim to be “woke” … awake, enlightened, activists.
Paul wrote to the Corinthian church: “I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:3-4
Prioritizing social issues always marginalizes the saving gospel, which is the one thing that brings unity and discernment.

What is the worldview of Millennials? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
The Millennial generation are those age 16-36. They are the largest living generation of Americans at 92 million.
Public education has influenced them to believe there is no standard for truth. Pragmatic evangelical churches have catered to their short attention spans, caused by Internet immersion, by entertaining them.
Because many have grown up in broken homes, they desire authentic relationships. And they want a high life purpose. Let’s encourage them to the high purpose and relationship of knowing and following Jesus Christ, who says, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.”

Independence Day is this week, commemorating the US colonies signing the Declaration of Independence from the British Empire. Our Founders believed in limited government and individual freedoms.
Today there is a growing demand for the opposite—socialism. The dictionary defines socialism as, “In Marxist theory, a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.” Almost half of Millennials say they prefer socialism to capitalism.
The decline of the biblical worldview, even amongst Christians, explains the desire for socialism, with its faith in government and ungodly social policies.

Will cracks forming in the evangelical church crater it? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
There are always pressure points on the church to compromise. Be informed about the current push to:
- synthesize the homosexual movement and Christianity, in light of the upcoming Revoice Conference
- frame “social justice” as a top priority
- change complementarian gender roles in the church and home to egalitarian
- and join with errant signs and wonders movements, such as the New Apostolic Reformation
Jesus said “the gates of Hades will not overpower” His church, but we are still called to “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.”
