TCW Minute: Overcoming Sexual Sin (Week of Dec. 11, 2017)

How to overcome sexual sin? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

Perversion seeks gratification outside God’s beautiful design for sex within marriage. Feminism rejects biblical roles, propriety, and boundaries for women. So how to overcome the #MeToo incidents in the workplace?

Follow Joseph’s example. When Joseph was seduced, he responded, “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” And then he fled.

Lustful thoughts and sinful actions outside marriage offends Holy God. Christian, let’s be reminded that we are called to “flee immorality … for you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”

TCW Minute: #MeToo Sexual Perversion (Week of Dec. 4, 2017)

Why so much sexual transgression in the workplace? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

The list of prominent men who have been accused of sexual harassment, assault, and abuse grows by the day. Accusation does not mean accuracy, but there have been enough admissions to raise the question: Why is this taking place?

The answer is that feminism is colliding with perversion.

The Bible says, “make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.” Biblical proprieties and boundaries for men and women have been cast aside in the workplace and culture and the result is sinful, if not predictable.

Hear a radio program about this at TheChristianWorldview.org.

And then tune in this weekend as we discuss how to avoid being an offender or victim of sexual transgression.

TCW Minute: Discipling Children and Grandchildren (Week of Nov. 27, 2017)

Discipling your children and grandchildren. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

As families get together this time of year, let’s be reminded that God’s call to discipleship starts with the children and grandchildren in our own homes.

God told Moses in Deuteronomy 6, “You shall teach the Word diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.”

This takes time and effort, far beyond just dropping kids off at church youth group or Christian school.

Hear more about discipling children in an interview with legendary Disney animator Glen Keane and his excellent book series, The Adventures of Adam Raccoon, at TheChristianWorldview.org.

This weekend, we’ll discuss women teaching men in evangelical churches.

TCW Minute: How Do We Pursue Sanctification? (Week of Nov. 20, 2017)

How does a Christian pursue sanctification? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

Sanctification means being set apart for God or holiness. In Scripture, God is described as “holy, holy, holy” and believers are called to “be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:14-16

But how? The pursuit of sanctification is more than just doing what is right and avoiding what is sinful. It is surrendering to God’s will, allowing the Holy Spirit to conform us to the perfect example of sanctification—Jesus Christ.

This is how we derive our deepest satisfaction in life because God designed us to be holy.

Hear an interview about sanctification at TheChristianWorldview.org.

This weekend, we’ll discuss teaching young children about God and the faith.
