Past TCW Minutes
TCW Minute: Discernment and Doctrine (Week of Sept. 18, 2017)
Be alert. Stand firm. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
This past weekend at The Christian Worldview Conference, we focused on two themes: One was: World Events, Islam, and the Clash of Civilizations. And the other: The Reformation, Authority of Scripture, and Justification by Faith.
These may seem like unrelated themes, but they actually summarize two things Scripture calls Christians to do: discern the times and declare sound doctrine.
Paul told the Corinthians: Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Cor. 16
And then tune in this weekend for another topic that will sharpen your worldview.
TCW Minute: Non-Religious Growth (Week of Sept. 11, 2017)
What the growth of non-Christians means. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
A recent survey in the UK found that 53% have no religious affiliation. In America, a Pew survey found that 43% of young adults do not identify as Christian, whether Protestant or Catholic.
What has led to this is a relentless attack on the Bible, the ubiquitous promotion of humanism, and a failure of true Christians and churches to influence their own.
The ramifications are daunting, but revival is never beyond God’s power—if pastors preach the full counsel of God and if Christians strive to be what Paul says—“the fragrance of Christ”—and bring their children up “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
