TCW Minute: Charlottesville “Counter-Protesters” (Week of August 21, 2017)

What to make of the conflict in Charlottesville?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
The mainstream media blamed one side for the recent violence in Charlottesville—Nazis and White Supremacists.
Their worldview is unbiblical and reprehensible.  Period.  But so is the group they were battling.  Whom the media innocuously termed “counter-protesters” are actually a violent, revolutionary Communist-Anarchist group called Antifa, short for antifascist.
The Bible says, Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Ephesians 4:31
Both groups should be anathema to Christians.  Hear more about this at TheChristianWorldview.org.
This weekend, we’ll discuss the debate over removing Confederate history.

TCW Minute: The Importance of Child Evangelism (Week of August 14, 2017)

The importance of child evangelism.  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
Why do you think those with a humanistic worldview are so intent on early childhood public education?
The answer is simple: change the children, change the future.
Knowing this, Christians, churches, and missions organizations should devote even more attention to evangelism and discipleship for children, starting with our own children.
Jesus said, Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all. (Mark 10:14-15)

TCW Minute: Reformation Impact (Week of August 7, 2017)

The impact of the Reformation.  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
It’s been said that the Protestant Reformation not only altered the course of the Christian church but also the entirety of Western Civilization, including our American government and way of life.
How did an era that started 500 years ago in 1517 and lasted into the mid-1600s have that much impact?
When two Biblical doctrines—the authority of Scripture and justification by faith alone—were brought to bear, all manner of life and society changed for the better.  That’s because God’s Word and the gospel cause profound and eternal transformation.
And then tune in this weekend for another topic that will sharpen your worldview.

TCW Minute: Foolish Sentiments Sink Presidents (Week of July 31, 2017)

Foolish sentiments sink presidents. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

There have been too many careless words during President Trump’s first six months in office.

He has repeatedly criticized his own attorney general. He used Twitter to announce a ban on transgenders from the military. And he hired friend Anthony Scaramucci to be White House Communications Director, who then obscenely slandered members of Trump’s cabinet.

What do all these examples have in common? Ill-spoken and ill-timed words. The Bible says, “There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” We need to be careful with our words because they matter to others and to God.

Hear more about the power of the tongue at TheChristianWorldview.org.

This weekend, we’ll discuss how the Reformation changed Western Civilization.
