TCW Minute: Beware of False Gospels (Week of June 12, 2017)
Beware of false gospels. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
Hank Hannegraaf is the well-known host of the The Bible Answer Man radio program. He was considered well within the evangelical realm until recently when he was chrismated into Eastern Orthodoxy.
So what’s the problem? Eastern Orthodoxy’s unbiblical doctrines, most significantly what the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America states on their website, that “Orthodox Christians throughout their lives receive salvation and renewal through faith, works, and the sacraments of the Church.”
That is a false gospel. The Bible says, “to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness.”

This Father’s Day Weekend, we’ll discuss the call for dads in a changing culture.
TCW Minute: An Unlikely Convert (Week of June 5, 2017)
There’s no bridge too far. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
The Bible says the unbeliever is “dead in trespasses and sins” and thus every conversion to new life in Christ is a supernatural work of God.
And yet some conversions seem quite unlikely. Take Rosaria Butterfield. She was a lesbian academic, specializing in queer theory … and then she came to faith in Christ.
How did that happen? She shares her story in her book, The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert about how God used an older pastor who showed patient hospitality, eventually explaining the gospel of repentance and faith in Christ. Rosaria is now a pastor’s wife and the mother of four children, reminding us that no one is beyond God’s grace.

TCW Minute: Trump’s Travels and Troubles (Week of May 29, 2017)
Trump’s travels and troubles. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
President Trump’s first trip abroad projected his view that a muscular America leads to greater stability and prosperity in the world.
Meanwhile back home, the pitchforks of his political opponents are out, with allegations of wrongdoing with Russia. The “impeachment” word is already being tossed about.
We need to be praying for our President, that the truth will be made clear, whatever that may be, that lies will not take hold, and that he would follow the Psalmist’s advice: O kings, show discernment; Worship the Lord with reverence and Do homage to the Son.

TCW Minute: The Reformation and Justification (Week of May 22, 2017)
The Reformation and Justification. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
This year marks the 500th anniversary of the start of the Protestant Reformation, an era that reformed the Christian faith and changed the world. It began when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the door at Wittenberg Castle church in Germany, protesting errant doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church.
Some Reformers were martyred for the biblical stance that justification is by faith alone and not by faith PLUS keeping church sacraments, like baptism.
The Bible says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works.” Ephesians 2:8-9
This weekend, we’ll discuss the President’s trip to the Middle East.
