TCW Minute: The Call for Mom (Week of May 15, 2017)

The call for Mom. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

There has been more societal change in the last 100 years than any other time in history. While technology has advanced, social structures such as family and motherhood have regressed from God’s design.

The feminist lie that a husband’s and wife’s roles are interchangeable hurts marriages and families.

The Bible describes God’s better way. Read Proverbs 31 about the qualities of an excellent wife and mother, which concludes, “Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”

Hear an interview with my mother and father, who are in their mid-80s and Christ-followers for 60 years at TheChristianWorldview.org.

This weekend, we’ll discuss the Reformation and key doctrine of justification.

TCW Minute: Answering The Tough Questions (Week of May 1, 2017)

What is your tough question? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

There are many issues that challenge our minds and faith, from the purposes of God, to the age of the earth, to the interpretation of the Bible, to sexuality and gender roles, and many more.

The Bible says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

The inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God is where we find truthful answers to the tough questions. Christian, never relinquish our foundation for truth in favor of the flawed reasoning of the world.

Hear answers to some tough questions at TheChristianWorldview.org.

This weekend, a scientist joins us to discuss the evidence for Christianity.

TCW Minute: Hated for Your Faith (Week of April 24, 2017)

How to respond when you are hated for your faith?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
Some in our society, who wrongly equate disapproval of sin with hatred of the sinner, will categorize Christ-followers as “haters”.  This is a powerful tactic designed to stigmatize and silence those who oppose their God-rejecting worldview.
Jesus said, “If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
And then He says: “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
And then tune in this weekend for another topic that will sharpen your worldview.

TCW Minute: Christ, The Believer’s High Priest (Week of April 17, 2017)

What does it mean that Christ is the believer’s High Priest?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
When Jesus died on the cross, the veil in the temple that the high priest passed through once a year to offer a sacrifice for the sins of the people was torn in two from top to bottom.  In other words, God did the tearing.
What did this signify?  The writer of Hebrews says: when Christ appeared as a high priest … He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands … and not through the blood of [animals], but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Christ is the believer’s eternal High Priest.
This weekend, Ken Ham joins us to discuss how to respond when you are hated for your faith.
