Guest: Anne Graham Lotz, author, Heaven: My Father’s House
In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. — Jesus (John 14:2)
It is a reality that no one can avoid—death. Whether one exercises daily, eats healthy, gets plenty of rest, has access to the best health care, and is born with good genetics, the fact is that everyone eventually dies as a result of the fatal effect of sin on our world.
Death is one of man’s greatest fears, partly because the dying process can be drawn out and painful and partly because many people are unsure what will happen afterward. But what if you knew for certain that you would spend eternity in a perfect place in God’s presence after you die? Would that change the way you face a terminal diagnosis, old age, or an unjust, sinful world?
Our guest this weekend on The Christian Worldview, Anne Graham Lotz, author, speaker, and daughter of evangelist Billy Graham, thinks so. She has watched her mother die and her father and husband nearing that day. In her book, Heaven: My Father’s House, Anne reminds readers that all the ills and trials of this world are nothing to fear in light of the believer’s future hope and home in heaven.
