TCW Minute: Raising Godly Children (Week of June 18, 2018)
Raising children who love and obey God. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
With the abundance of child-rearing resources, it may seem surprising that the New Testament has only one verse that directly addresses the issue.
Ephesians 6:4 says, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
“Don’t provoke” means don’t be overbearing. “Bring them up” implies a daily, ongoing endeavor. “Discipline” means correcting sinful behavior and attitudes with appropriate punishment. And “instruction” means teaching God’s ways and will.
Above all, explain the gospel, because only a born-again heart will love and follow God.

TCW Minute: Gay Christian? (Week of June 11, 2018)
Is it possible to be a “gay Christian”? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
The upcoming evangelical Revoice Conference says yes. Their mission is: “to encourage, support, and empower gay, lesbian, and other same-sex-attracted Christians so they can experience the life-giving character of the historic, Christian sexual ethic.”
But the Bible says “… neither fornicators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals…will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
When one is born again, sinful identity and desire are in the past. Now sin is to be overcome through your new identity with Christ.
TCW Minute: What happened to the Boy Scouts? (Week of May 28, 2018)
What happened to the Boy Scouts? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
Founded in 1910, the Boy Scouts is one of the largest youth organizations in America. Its aim is to train boys in “moral character development, citizenship training, and development of physical, mental, and emotional fitness.”
Over the last decade, the Boy Scouts changed their moral standards to allow for homosexuality and transgenderism and just recently became co-ed, even dropping the name “Boy” from its name.
Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” The Boy Scouts is a sobering warning of drift when the Word of God is not the final authority.

This weekend, Ken Ham joins to discuss reaching this generation with the gospel.
TCW Minute: Events in the Middle East (Week of May 21, 2018)
Watching the Middle East. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
Significant events are occurring in the Middle East. The nuclear deal with Iran has been cancelled. Turkey is a reemerging power. Russia is in Syria.
And after unfulfilled promises of past presidents, President Trump moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a major statement that Israel is not a temporary occupier in the land, but there to stay.
What does this all mean? Paul writes in Romans 11, “For I do not want you to be uninformed of this mystery that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved.”

This weekend, we’ll discus what happened to the Boy Scouts.
