I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; 30 and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.  Acts 20:29

As our guest Justin Peters said two weeks ago on The Christian Worldview, there are some serious “cracks” forming within Evangelicalism right now that compromise biblical doctrine and the gospel and threaten to undermine once-sound churches.

Four pressure […]

TCW Minute: Raising Godly Children (Week of June 18, 2018)

Raising children who love and obey God.  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

With the abundance of child-rearing resources, it may seem surprising that the New Testament has only one verse that directly addresses the issue.

Ephesians 6:4 says, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”

“Don’t provoke” means don’t be overbearing.  “Bring them up” implies a daily, ongoing endeavor.  “Discipline” […]

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.  Ephesians 6:4

Christians spend a lot of time working toward political change, whether through issue advocacy or electing certain candidates.

Christians also spend a lot of time trying to “redeem the culture”, through social programs and events or creating more wholesome media, music, etc.

All of these are well-intentioned attempts to lead people and society toward God.  […]

TCW Minute: Gay Christian? (Week of June 11, 2018)

2018-06-15T14:38:42-05:00Jun 11, 2018|Categories: The Christian Worldview Minute|

Is it possible to be a “gay Christian”?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

The upcoming evangelical Revoice Conference says yes.  Their mission is: “to encourage, support, and empower gay, lesbian, and other same-sex-attracted Christians so they can experience the life-giving character of the historic, Christian sexual ethic.”

But the Bible says “… neither fornicators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals…will inherit the kingdom of God.  Such were some of you; but you were washed, […]

GUEST: Justin Peters, author, speaker, evangelist

“Certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” Jude 4

The pressure on Christians and the church to compromise comes from the outside and from the inside.

Most everyone has heard about Christians who work in the wedding […]

TCW Minute: How to Reach the Younger Generation (Week of June 4, 2018)

2018-06-08T15:46:23-05:00Jun 04, 2018|Categories: Uncategorized|

How to reach the younger generation?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

Research shows that the Millennial generation, those aged 18-40, have a much more secular or religiously pluralistic worldview than previous generations.

Ken Ham president of Answers in Genesis and author of the new book, Gospel Reset, says we need to explain more of the faith, not less, to reach this generation.

Instead of baiting them with trendy music and then slipping in […]

Encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.  Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with […]

What happened to the Boy Scouts?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

Founded in 1910, the Boy Scouts is one of the largest youth organizations in America.  Its aim is to train boys in “moral character development, citizenship training, and development of physical, mental, and emotional fitness.”

Over the last decade, the Boy Scouts changed their moral standards to allow for homosexuality and transgenderism and just recently became co-ed, even dropping the name […]

TCW Minute: Events in the Middle East (Week of May 21, 2018)

Watching the Middle East.  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.

Significant events are occurring in the Middle East.  The nuclear deal with Iran has been cancelled.  Turkey is a reemerging power.  Russia is in Syria.

And after unfulfilled promises of past presidents, President Trump moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a major statement that Israel is not a temporary occupier in the land, but there to stay.

What does this all […]
